Top Dog of Sharon 2026

Official Contest Rules

Because every dog believes they deserve a crown. 👑🐾

1. Contest Period

The Top Dog of Sharon Photo Contest begins on October 1, 2026 and ends on October 29, 2026.

All entries must be received by 11:59 PM on October 29, 2026.

2. Who Can Enter

The contest is open to individuals age 18 or older. Entrants must submit a photo of a dog they own or have permission to enter in the contest.

One entry per dog, please.

3. How to Enter

To enter the Top Dog of Sharon Photo Contest, complete both steps below during the contest period:

Step 1: Make a $25 contest entry contribution

Contributions may be made:

Online via PayPal. Please include the word “Contest” in the payment note.
By check. Checks should be made payable to Friends of Sharon Dog Park and mailed to:

Please write “Contest” in the memo line of the check.

Mailed checks must be received by October 29, 2026 to qualify. Please allow adequate time for postal delivery.

Step 2: Submit the official contest entry form

Complete the contest entry form at:

The form will ask you to provide:

Your name
Your dog’s name
Your contact email
A photo of your dog
A short description of why your dog deserves the title of Top Dog of Sharon
The method used to make your contest entry contribution

An entry is not complete until both the $25 contest entry contribution and the contest entry form have been received.

The $25 entry contribution is non-refundable and benefits Friends of Sharon Dog Park. No representation is
made regarding the tax deductibility of the entry contribution.

4. How the Winner Will Be Chosen

This is a judged contest, not a random drawing or raffle.

Eligible entries will be reviewed by a panel selected by Friends of Sharon Dog Park.

Dogs will be judged based on:

Personality & Charm — 40%
Creativity & Originality — 30%
Photo Appeal — 30%

The Sharon Dog Park Spirit score may take into account the entrant’s written submission about why Sharon Dog Park is important to them and their dog.

The dog receiving the highest overall score will be named Top Dog Of Sharon.

In the event of a tie, the dog receiving the higher Personality & Charm score will win. If a tie remains, the judging panel will make the final determination based on the published judging criteria.

All judging decisions are final.

5. The Grand Prize 🏆

The winning pup and family will receive a prize package worthy of Sharon Dog Park royalty:

🐾 A Year’s Supply of Poop Bags — 40 rolls / approximately 600 bags
🦴 A Celebration Stash of Dog Treats or 🎁 A Mystery Dog Toy — valued at up to $15
🏆 The Official Top of Sharon Trophy
👑 A full year of completely unreasonable bragging rights
📸 A featured winner announcement on the Friends of Sharon Dog Park Facebook page and/or website

Approximate retail value of the prize package: up to $60.

And, of course, the title of Top Dog of Sharon — which is priceless.

The winner will be contacted using the information provided with the entry and announced after judging is completed.

6. Photo and Submission Permission

By entering the contest, you confirm that you took the submitted photograph or otherwise have the right and permission to submit and share it.

You grant Friends of Sharon Dog Park permission to reproduce, crop, resize, publish, and share your submitted dog photograph, your dog’s name, and the written portions of your submission in connection with the Top Dog of Sharon Photo Contest and related Sharon Dog Park communications.

This includes contest announcements, entry spotlights, finalist and winner announcements, and contest-related posts on the Friends of Sharon Dog Park Facebook page, other social media accounts, website, and other communications.

This permission applies to all submitted entries, not only the winning entry.

Ownership of the original photograph remains with the photographer.

7. Contact Information and Privacy

Contact information submitted with an entry will be used only as reasonably necessary to administer the contest, verify entries, communicate with entrants, and contact the winner.

Friends of Sharon Dog Park will not use contest contact information for marketing, promotional mailing lists, fundraising solicitations, or unrelated communications, and will not sell contest contact information to third parties.

An entrant’s phone number, email address, or other private contact information will not be included in public contest posts.

8. Appropriate Entries

Friends of Sharon Dog Park reserves the right to reject or remove entries that are inappropriate, fraudulent, misleading, infringe another person’s rights, or otherwise do not comply with these rules.

9. General Conditions

Friends of Sharon Dog Park may cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if circumstances outside its reasonable control make it necessary to do so, subject to applicable law.

Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.
